The
technology behind Linear Floor Inlays
Working
from CAD drawings (prepared in our lab), we use an ultra-high
pressure jet of water, combined with garnet as the cutting medium,
to cut cleanly and precisely through virtually any material in
a single pass without shredding or crushing. Cut with a narrow
kerf and to extremely tight tolerances, the pieces can then be
tightly nested during assembly. Since there is no heat, there
is no damage to the material and waste is minimized. This unique
cutting system works on materials once thought “unmachine-able”
using conventional cutting methods.
